Privacy policy
Your work stays yours.
This policy explains what Fabriq collects, how connected services work, and the choices you have over your data.
Effective August 16, 2026Fabriq does not sell personal information or connected-service data.
Google Drive, Slack, and Fathom are used to find and read relevant work.
Google user data is not used to train generalized or personalized AI models.
Information Fabriq collects
Fabriq stores the account information needed to operate the product, such as your email address, profile details, organizations, workspaces, permissions, billing references, and security events.
We also store the work you choose to put in Fabriq: boards, notes, source links and uploads, comments, AI chats, generated drafts, connection references, and the collaboration history needed to keep a shared board in sync.
We collect basic device, browser, request, and product-usage data to keep Fabriq secure, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and improve the product. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles.
Connected services and Google user data
When you connect Google Drive, Fabriq requests read-only access to list and search files and to read relevant Google Docs, Sheets, and supported Drive files. Fabriq uses that access only to show the connected Drive preview and to answer requests you make in a connected AI Chat.
Fabriq stores the OAuth access and refresh credentials needed to keep the connection working. Those credentials are encrypted and kept server-side. The shared board receives only a connection reference, not the credential itself.
Fabriq does not make a separate bulk copy of your Drive. Files are fetched when needed. Relevant excerpts, citations, and AI outputs can remain in board or chat history when they are part of the work you asked Fabriq to create.
Fabriq does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized or personalized AI models. Fabriq's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Google API Services User Data PolicySlack and Fathom work in the same user-directed way: Fabriq reads authorized content only to preview, search, and answer requests in the product. Each service also handles data under its own terms and privacy policy.
How AI processing works
When you ask an AI Chat to use connected material, Fabriq searches the sources available to that chat and sends only the material needed to produce the requested answer to the selected or configured AI model provider. These providers act as service processors for the user-facing feature.
Fabriq does not use connected Google data for independent model development. People do not review private connected content unless it is necessary to provide support, investigate abuse or a security issue, comply with law, or protect the service, and access is limited to authorized personnel.
How information is shared
Fabriq shares information only when needed to:
- provide hosting, authentication, storage, collaboration, billing, source processing, and AI features;
- follow your instructions or share a board with people you choose;
- protect Fabriq, its users, and the public from fraud, abuse, or security threats; or
- comply with a valid legal obligation.
Service providers receive only the access needed for their role and are expected to protect the information they process for Fabriq. Fabriq does not sell or rent your personal information.
Security
Fabriq uses encrypted network connections, access controls, server-only credentials, least-privilege service access, and encrypted connector secrets. No online service can promise perfect security, but we work to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and loss.
Retention and deletion
Fabriq keeps account and board information while it is needed to operate your account, preserve shared work, meet security and legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Operational logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed for security and reliability.
Connector credentials remain until the connection is revoked, deleted, expires, or you ask us to remove it. Deleting a board node does not necessarily revoke the provider authorization. You can revoke Google access from your Google Account permissions and ask Fabriq support to delete the saved connection.
Backup and security copies can remain for a limited period after a deletion request before they are overwritten or no longer needed. We may retain a minimal record when required for fraud prevention, legal compliance, or an unresolved payment or security matter.
Your controls
Review your profile and shared board data in Fabriq, or contact us for help.
Ask us to delete your account, connector credentials, or personal information.
Contact us about privacy, access, correction, portability, or how your data is used.
Children
Fabriq is a business product and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information to Fabriq, contact us so we can review and remove it.
Changes to this policy
We will update the effective date on this page when this policy changes. If a change materially affects how we use connected-service data, we will provide additional notice when reasonably possible.
